MIDI jacks on pedals and gear don’t all face the same direction. Some face up, some face down, and a right-angle MIDI plug that points the wrong way can block the pedal beside it or send the cable across your board. Revelation’s 5-Pin MIDI Patch Cable solves that with Disaster Area Designs right-angle DIN connectors, each with a rotating barrel that locks into eight positions in 45° steps. Point each end exactly where your board needs it.
Every cable lets you set the exit angle independently on each end. The MIDI Configurator shows you which direction your jacks face and tells you exactly what to order.
Not sure? Order the default 180° (As Wired), where the cable exits straight down. If you need a different angle later, the barrel re-orients in under a minute with a Phillips screwdriver: loosen the set screw, turn the barrel one click per 45°, and re-tighten. The guide below shows each position.
We build it with Mogami 2552, a flexible 0.197″ (5mm) cable with two 26AWG conductors under a spiral copper shield — exactly what a MIDI connection uses: pins 4 and 5 for the signal, with the shield on pin 2.
