Custom-Made Cables to Enhance Your Sound

Some musicians use long, high-capacitance cables that let them tame high frequencies. Others prefer low-capacitance cables for a pure tone they can control with amps and pedals. This is your sound—make it unique with the right cable.

  • Capacitance range of 15.8pF/ft to 39.7pF/ft
  • Customizable to match your style
  • Durable with a lifetime warranty

I couldn’t find patch cables I liked. So I built my own.

I used to be pretty skeptical about the difference in sound a quality cable would make. The only reason I started looking into them to begin with was I was researching patch cables to build my pedalboard. Everywhere I looked, the best option was solderless cables. Convenient? Sure, but they’re unreliable and known to fail. Yes, I wanted a tidy pedalboard but not at the expense of quality or durability. On the other hand, I didn’t like what I was hearing from the mass-produced cables in stores. The sound mattered to me.

And then I found SP400 connectors.

Right away I was hooked. With a lower profile than most solderless connectors, they were exactly what I was looking for and I still use them to this day. I very quickly started building other cables, tinkering, trying new combinations, creating different looks. And the sound…

When you hear the sound you get from a custom-built cable, it’s nothing short of a revelation. That’s when I realized I could help musicians all over the world sculpt their sound by finding the right cable. And Revelation Cable Co was started.

Why would you buy a cable to help your sound? Cables are designed to transfer your signal from your instrument to your amplifier. With a bad cable, you aren’t getting the full spectrum of frequencies your instrument is capable of. It can sound muddy, crack and pop when you move and even pick up radio frequencies or the hum of fluorescent lights. A quality-built cable on the other hand transfers the sound from your instrument to the amp, reducing noise, giving you a clear, articulate and balanced sound. The moment you hear the difference in tone, you’ll never go back.
