Our mistake, your gain. This was a custom order for one of our overseas dealers — Dark Blue Tweed MDPC sleeving over Sommer SC-Spirit LLX. We sleeved it over Van Damme XKE instead. Caught it, built theirs again properly, and this one has been sitting here since. There is one of it, at 10ft, straight to right-angle.
Worth being clear about what that means, because the two cables are not interchangeable. The LLX they ordered is our lowest-capacitance stock at 15.8 pF/ft. The XKE underneath this one runs 27.4 pF/ft — still low, but not the same cable. What the XKE gives you instead is flexibility: it is the softest stock we build on, light under a strap and happy to coil flat at the end of the night. Different character, not a lesser one. It is the cable we sell more of than any other.
Dark Blue Tweed is not one of the nineteen colours on our custom sleeved XKE listing, so this is not a build you can order from us. The tweed weave shifts between navy and a lighter blue depending on how the light hits it, which is the thing photographs never quite capture.
Terminated with G&H nickel plugs in gunmetal grey housings, soldered by hand with lead-free, RoHS compliant silver solder and tested before it ships. Covered by our lifetime warranty. Fixed at 10ft, straight to right-angle.
We sleeve the same Van Damme XKE in nineteen MDPC colours, built to your length and connectors. Or if it was the low capacitance that caught your eye, the Sommer SC-Spirit LLX is the stock this one was supposed to be — 15.8 pF/ft, the lowest in our range.
