Upgrade your speaker cable with Revelation’s DH Labs T-14 Speaker Cable. It uses vibration-damping fillers and is tension-wrapped under the jacket to prevent resonances and microphonic effects. The 14AWG silver-plated Continuous CrystalTM copper conductors are tightly wound and encased in a PTFE insulation resulting in a low capacitance (21pF/ft) and low inductance. Duane recommended I try DH Labs' T-14 speaker cable for some long runs — up to 25 feet each way — through my amp and speaker cabinet switcher. I was already using a very high quality cable, but I have a couple of amps I consider pretty special, with speaker cabs built with specially ordered drivers. The T-14 improved the frequency response and transient dynamic impact I was previously getting. Is it subtle? Sure. But you pay for subtlety, and if your technique can take advantage of it, you're in business. It seems to remove a haze that even very good cables sometimes add. I pay a lot of attention to transient attack — that's where a cable's ability to transfer detail makes itself most heard. With this cable I'm getting a little more of everything, and I'm very happy with it.
