It has always been my dream to attend The NAMM Show in Anaheim, California. Starting my own custom guitar cable company finally gave me an excuse to HAVE to go! So off we went to NAMM 2019. The first few days we had a blast taking in some local sights and hot spots…and drinking beer, of course. One thing I loved about NAMM was seeing how my wife and I, married for 11 years, worked so well together as a team. It was awesome, and this is when “my business” became “our business”.
We stayed at a suite that was about a 20 minute walk from the Convention Centre. There was so much to do and see all around and in between! We had planned on trying out numerous different restaurants throughout the week but we fell in love with our waitress at P.F. Chang’s (hi Carrie, if you’re reading this). This ended up being our nightly post-NAMM stop. Also, one of our fortune cookies seemed to agree that we had made a good move attending NAMM 2019!
I think our favourite place in Anaheim was The Packing District! We probably spent a half hour walking around deciding whether we wanted spicy chicken or B.B.Q. beef brisket or poutine or, or, or… the options were endless! And don’t forget the fried pickles! Then came dessert. There was a popsicle bar, gelato, ice cream and some crazy dessert stand that I don’t even know what to call it. We ended our visit at one of the numerous bars that had a variety of local craft beers on tap. They sure know how to roll in Cali!
