Three cables left, and no more coming. We dropped the base Sommer SC-Spirit from the line a while back, and what remains is one 15ft and two 8ft builds in the black jacket, all straight to right-angle. Once they are gone, that is the end of it.
Worth being clear that discontinuing it was our decision, not a verdict on the cable. At 23.7 pF/ft it sits between our SC-Spirit XS and XXL for high-frequency rolloff — slightly better than the XXL, which is one of our best sellers. The 20AWG OFC conductor and copper braid with a semi-conductive layer underneath are the same Sommer construction we still build with every day. It came down to two things: sleeved, it stiffened up more than we were happy with, and at 7.0mm it landed almost exactly on the LLX at 7.2mm — a cable people ask us for far more often.
Terminated with G&H nickel plugs, soldered by hand with lead-free, RoHS compliant silver solder, and tested before shipping. Lengths and connectors are fixed as listed — these are already built. Each one carries the same lifetime warranty as anything we sell at full price.
The SC-Spirit XXL is the closest thing to this cable that we still carry, built to your length and connectors. Or if low capacitance is what you are after, the SC-Spirit LLX runs 15.8 pF/ft — the lowest in our range.
