Black sleeving over a black jacket, black housings, black heatshrink. The only thing on the Black Mamba that isn’t black is the silver print on the shrink and the nickel at the tip. It’s built for the player who wants the cable to disappear — against a black pedalboard, a dark stage, or a photograph where the guitar should be the subject.
Underneath is the Sommer SC-Spirit LLX, at 15.8 pF/ft (52 pF/m) the lowest capacitance of any cable on the market. Capacitance is what rolls the top end off a signal as the run gets longer, which is why a 30-foot cable usually sounds duller than a 10-foot one. On the LLX that penalty is about as small as it gets, so this is the one to reach for when the run is long and you’d rather not hear that it is. A 21AWG oxygen-free copper conductor of 19 fine strands runs inside a braided OFC shield over a carbon screen.
MDPC sleeving sits outside the jacket, so it changes nothing electrically — it’s the layer that takes the wear instead of the cable. Terminated with G&H Bigfoot nickel connectors in black housings, hand-soldered with lead-free ROHS-compliant silver solder, built to order and tested before it ships. Backed by our lifetime warranty.
