Description
The SquarePlug TRS Patch Cable is built on KMMK’s SquarePlug SP550-S, a soldered TRS right-angle plug with the same square footprint as the SP400. It sits just 0.350″ (8.9mm) off the jack and can plug into closely spaced jacks on switchers and loopers where round pancake plugs collide. Where a right angle won’t fit, choose the SPS6-S, SquarePlug’s straight TRS plug. It’s just 0.89″ (22.5mm) long with a 0.59″ (15mm) body.
A TRS patch cable carries two signals plus ground, where a standard patch cable carries one. Use it to join stereo pedals with single TRS inputs or outputs, connect expression pedals, run external tap tempo and aux footswitches, or carry TRS MIDI between compatible pedals.
We build it standard with Mogami 2552. At 0.197″ (5mm), it fills the SP550-S cable clamp for a tight grip and solid strain relief. Each signal gets its own 26AWG oxygen-free copper conductor under a spiral copper shield, and at 27.4 pF/ft (90 pF/m) it keeps high-frequency rolloff low when you run stereo audio through it.
Choose your wiring at checkout. Standard runs tip to tip, ring to ring, and sleeve to sleeve, and suits most expression pedals, footswitches, and stereo connections. Reverse Polarity swaps tip and ring at one end, for pedals and controllers that expect the opposite wiring — if an expression pedal works backwards or barely responds, this is usually the fix. Chase Bliss (MIDI) is wired for the TRS MIDI used by Chase Bliss pedals: sleeve to sleeve and tip to ring, with the remaining ring and tip left floating. Not sure which you need?
